WSOF lightweight champion Justin Gaethje briefly lived and trained with Melvin Guillard at a fighter house supporting Denver’s Grudge Training Center, so his second title defense is a familiar challenge. Guillard had found refuge there in 2013 after a split with the famed Blackzilians camps and subsequent rejection by his former camp at Team Jackson-Winkeljohn. Gaethje had yet to seize the WSOF lightweight title, but he was already the talk of many in the MMA know when it came to up-and-coming fighters at 155 pounds
