Aguilar (19-4) has not lost in nearly five years and owns a victory over inaugural UFC champ Carla Esparza. Although Esparza dropped the title to Joanna Jedrzejczyk in one-sided fashion at UFC 185 this past Saturday, Aguilar still had no doubt about her position in the world rankings. “There’s a lot of people that don’t really understand the sport really well,” Aguilar told MMAjunkie. “I’m not taking anything away from Joanna; she’s worked for what she’s got and she’s accomplished what she’s accomplished.
