WSOF lightweight Jimmy Spicuzza thinks he once was just like everyone else on the MMA amateur circuit, trying out a crazy sport to see if it was right for him. What was different about him, he thought, is that he kind of knew it was. Spicuzza got into fighting because he had anger issues while growing up, he told MMAjunkie Radio. That put him squarely in the territory of so many who strap on gloves and fight in front of other people, if not for the fact that his reasons for doing it changed as he immersed himself more deeply in the sport. “This journey wouldn’t mean anything if I didn’t use it for something positive,” Spicuzza, 29, said. That something is working with others who share his background and helping them to deal with the emotions that once twisted him in knots before he decided to push his rage outward
