When UFC fighter Abel Trujillo caught Bellator MMA lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez with a knee during a recent training session, Kenny Monday didn’t initially think it’d end up affecting the biggest event in Bellator history. Then again, when you train as hard as the Blackzilians do down in Florida, the team’s wrestling coach said, such unfortunate situations sometimes occur. Alvarez (25-3 MMA, 9-1 BMMA), of course, was slated to Michael Chandler in a trilogy fight this weekend.
