Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC UFC officials swerved the MMA world today when Ronda Rousey announced her next opponent will be former boxing champion Holly Holm , and not Miesha Tate, as previously expected. Holm (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will challenge Rousey (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) for her women’s bantamweight champion on Jan. 2 at UFC 195, which takes place at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. With just two UFC fights under her belt, Holm might not be the most well known member of the 135-pound weight class, but she certainly has the credentials to challenge “Rowdy” for UFC gold in a major pay-per-view event.
