LAS VEGAS – Wanderlei Silva is one of MMA’s most legendary names, but the UFC won’t honor him with a hall of fame induction. It’s been a rough few months for Silva (35-12-1 MMA, 5-7 UFC) on the news front. The most recent hit came with an indefinite suspension/lifetime ban from the Nevada State Athletic Commission earlier this week for evading a random drug test in May. “The Axe Murderer” announced his MMA retirement earlier this month, concluding a career that dates back to 1996 and saw him earn a title under the now-defunct PRIDE FC banner.
