Wanderlei Silva A procedural snafu delayed Wanderlei Silva ’s re-hearing before the Nevada State Athletic Commission, pushing it back to the next meeting when his lawyer complained that a document wasn’t provided to him before his case was heard. The document, according to Bleacher Report’s Jeremy Botter, who was on scene at today’s NSAC meeting in Las Vegas, was an affidavit from UFC Chief Legal Officer Kirk Hendrick. Silva’s attorney, Ross Goodman, objected to NSAC commissioner Pat Lundvall’s assertion that it was irrelevant to the proceedings. But NSAC chair Francisco Aguilar moved to delay the matter until the commission’s next meeting, which is not yet scheduled. Silva was given a lifetime ban 13 months ago for evading an out-of-competition drug test in connection with an expected fight with Chael Sonnen at UFC 175. Goodman argued that the commission did not have jurisdiction to test the fighter, who was unlicensed at the time of the test.
