Wanderlei Silva Retired UFC fighter Wanderlei Silva today initiated an appeal with the Nevada Supreme Court to rule on whether the Nevada State Athletic Commission overstepped its bounds by imposing a lifetime ban early in 2014. “This case requires the court to vindicate a basic proposition: an agency cannot expand its jurisdiction and take disciplinary action against someone it does not license,” wrote Silva lawyer Ross Goodman in a brief obtained by MMAjunkie.
