How’s this for an “overreaction”: 2025 will be yet another year without Conor McGregor fighting in the UFC. We’re coming up on three-and-a-half years since McGregor last competed inside the octagon, when he broke his leg and lost by injury TKO in a trilogy with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. The former UFC two-division champion’s career has been a wild and controversial ride , with no action inside the cage since. McGregor had been set to headline UFC 303 against Michael Chandler this past June, but a broken pinky toe suffered in training forced him to withdraw one month out. Events in McGregor’s personal life came to a head in November as he found himself embroiled in a civil trial in which a woman, Nikita Hand, alleged that McGregor raped her in a Dublin hotel room in late 2018.
