Filed under: News , UFC , Videos Although Tim Boetsch  has become a veteran presence on the UFC roster, it’s easy to forget what a splash he made in his octagon debut – on just 10 days’ notice. Back in 2008 at UFC 81 (the same card that featured Brock Lesnar’s UFC debut), Boetsch replaced injured Tomasz Drwal and met four-fight UFC vet Heath. Check out the above video as Boetsch clearly surprises the UFC commentators and then scores a memorable first-round stoppage. And catch Boetsch (17-7 MMA, 8-6 UFC) back in action in a week, when he and fellow middleweight Brad Tavares (12-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) clash at UFC Fight Night 47, which airs Aug. 16 on FOX Sports 1 from Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.
