Marcus Edwards put a stamp on his Combate Global debut on Friday. The 33-year-old welterweight made his debut with the promotion in the main event against Leo Rodriguez, a short-notice replacement who stepped up on a few days’ notice. Unfortunately for Rodriguez (13-3-1), Edwards (14-6) wasn’t interested in spending much time inside the cage at Cisneros Studios in Miami, as he ended the fight violently in the first exchange. Just 21 seconds into the fight, the referee called for a stop to the bout as Rodriguez was slumped against the fence as Edwards rained down furious punches
