EDMONTON, Alberta, Canada – Two new rules will make their UFC debut Saturday at Rogers Place as the Association of Boxing Commissions and Combative Sports (ABC) voted this past July to implement them beginning Nov. 1. For the first time in the history of the Unified Rules of MMA, 12-6 elbows will be allowed at UFC Fight Night 246 . Additionally, a “grounded fighter” is redefined as an athlete who has any part of their body besides their hands or feet on the ground.
