But that ‘stache, man – it was the real star of the show. After Johnson (9-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) put Abdurahimov (15-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) on his back, he unloaded a heavy ground-and-pound assault to force the TKO stoppage on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 63, which aired on FOX Sports 1 from Fairfax, Va.’s Patriot Center. Although relatively unknown heading into the bout, the 30-year-old Minnesotan and Dakota Fighting Championship titleholder made a splash in his UFC debut – both with his performance and with a mustache that delighted fans on social media and the broadcasters who commentated the fight.
