The UFC crowned the second Polish champion in company history Saturday – and the celebration is still going. New UFC light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz touched down on native soil Monday following a trip home from his title-earning second-round victory over Dominick Reyes at UFC 253. Blachowicz (27-8 MMA, 10-5 UFC) was greeted with a hero’s welcome as hundreds of people stormed the airport to catch a glimpse of Poland’s newest UFC champion. Supporters chanted Blachowicz’s name as pictures were taken, handshakes were offered, and hugs were given out. Blachowicz, 37, is the first Polish men’s UFC titleholder in the promotion’s history
