Parke (19-2-1 MMA, 3-0-1 UFC) and Santos (12-3-1 MMA, 1-0-1 UFC) fought to a draw at UFC Fight Night 38, which took place earlier this week at Ginasio Nelio Dias in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. The main card with Parke-Santos aired on FOX Sports 1. Two of the judges scored the fight 28-28, while a third gave the fight to Santos, 29-27. But in the second round, referee Wernei Cardoso took a point away from Parke without a warning for grabbing Santos’ shorts against the cage. Without the point deduction, which many believed to be excessive without a first warning, Parke would’ve won a split decision.
