Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington already had one of the most fiery rivalries in UFC history. But last week, that rivalry went to a new level when Masvidal allegedly attacked Covington outside a Miami restaurant. Masvidal was arrested, booked and charged – and if convicted and given the maximum sentence, he could go away for as much as 30 years. Pretty clearly, such a sentence seems like a strong unlikelihood. But still, Masvidal’s near-term fighting future could be in jeopardy if he’s tied up with legal proceedings. So did he take things too far with his alleged pair of sucker punches after Covington beat him in their sanctioned fight at UFC 272
