Paul Felder is swapping the microphone for his mouthpiece on Saturday night when he steps up on short notice to take on former UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of UFC Fight Night 182. Felder (17-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC) has agreed to step in on less than one week’s notice to replace Islam Makhachev, who was ruled out of the matchup due to a staph infection. “The Irish Dragon” has become a regular in the UFC commentary booth over the last 12 months, and was originally slated to be on the call for Saturday’s fights at the UFC Apex, but now, instead of calling the main event, he’ll be competing in it, instead. Dos Anjos (29-13 MMA, 18-11 UFC), meanwhile, is set to return to the 155-pound division after a 4-4 run at welterweight that included an unsuccessful tilt at the interim 170-pound title. Ahead of their bout, former UFC welterweight title challenger and UFC analyst Dan “The Outlaw” Hardy invites us into “The War Room,” as he takes a deep dive into the matchup and offers his technical pointers ahead of the fight
