Earlier this year, Gibson made his debut on short notice and suffered a competitive but unanimous-decision loss to Aljamain Sterling. The 26-year-old regrouped – and even spent the week after the fight training with Sterling – and now heads into his second UFC bout. On Saturday at UFC Fight Night 44 at San Antonio’s AT&T Center, Gibson (11-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who recently replaced Rani Yahya, meets fellow bantamweight Johnny Bedford (19-10-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) in a FOX Sports 1-televised bout.
