There was plenty at stake for Alexander Gustafsson on Saturday night against Jimi Manuwa, and he came through with flying colors. Gustafsson (16-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) needed a win over Manuwa (14-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) to put himself back in a light heavyweight title shot. He got it in a big way with a second-round TKO of the previously unbeaten Londoner at UFC Fight Night 37. UFC Fight Night 37 took place at O2 Arena in London with Gustafsson-Manuwa in the main event. After Gustafsson stopped Manuwa, he called out 205-pound champion Jon Jones , whom he lost to in September – in a fight many thought he won. The win over Manuwa was enough to put him back in a title fight – in a rematch with Jones, should Jones beat Glover Teixeira next month
