All who watched UFC 175 knew Uriah Hall was in a bad way after the first round of his fight with Thiago Santos. His toe was obviously mangled , and had his cornermen been less insistent the fight go on, his night could have been over. Hall (9-4 MMA, 2-2 UFC) told MMAjunkie that not only was his right toe broken against Santos (9-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) at the July 5 pay-per-view event, but he also was suffering from an injured ankle that to this day has not been cleared by doctors. Afterward, UFC cameras caught him crying out in pain as the promotion’s medical staff attended to him. Thankfully, Hall reported, he was prepared to fight under grim circumstances. An unusual training regimen helped him adjust to fighting at less than 100 percent
