Marc Ratner With the New York State Assembly running on overtime, UFC Vice President of Regulatory Affairs Marc Ratner is hoping for a buzzer-beater to get MMA legalized. “No guarantees of anything, but I very much believe we have the votes if we get it on the assembly floor,” Ratner today told MMAjunkie Radio. The assembly is the last hurdle in the promotion’s six-year fight to promote MMA events in the Empire State. The bill has been passed in the senate – this year by a margin of 48-13– only to die before getting a vote on the assembly floor
