Far from swayed by the answers he provided today at a meeting of the athletic commission, the Nevada State Athletic Commission officially levied its punishment for Dennis Siver ‘s recent failed drug test. Siver (21-9 MMA, 10-6 UFC), who tested positive for human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) at December’s UFC 168 event, continued to blame a new trainer at today’s hearing. Unmoved by the testimony, the commission overturned his win over fellow featherweight Manny Gamburyan (13-7 MMA, 4-5 UFC) and changed it to a no-contest.
