The UFC created a new strawweight division for women in December, signing 11 115-pound fighters from Invicta Fighting Championships . All 11 fighters are expected to take part in an upcoming season of The Ultimate Fighter with lightweight champion Anthony Pettis and his next challenger, Gilbert Melendez, heading up the teams as coaches. The UFC on Tuesday announced plans for open tryouts to fill out any remaining spots on the strawweight season of TUF.
