David Allen STOCKHOLM – The UFC’s first-ever show in a European stadium proved a success, as the promotion reported the live gate was the richest in the company’s history on the continent. UFC General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa David Allen said revealed at Saturday’s UFC on FOX 14 post-fight news conference that the card drew 30,000 fans to Stockholm’s Tele2 Arena for a live gate of $3.1 million. While the number of free or “comp” tickets was not revealed, the figures represent an average revenue of $103.33 per ticket issued. It was announced on the evening’s FOX broadcast that 26,000 fans were in the building, but Allen told MMAjunkie that walk-up tickets were being sold throughout the night and even through the start of the main event, which kicked off at nearly 4 a.m. local time. In UFC on FOX 14’s headlining bout, Anthony Johnson earned a shot at UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones by scoring an impressive first-round TKO stoppage of Alexander Gustafsson
