The bout was part of the UFC on FOX 10 main card, which aired on FOX from Chicago’s United Center. Cerrone (22-6 MMA, 9-3 UFC), who was open regarding money issues and a lack of knowledge about his opponent heading into the event, put in a vintage performance with a violent head-kick knockout of Martins (25-7 MMA, 1-1 UFC).
