Former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman was looking to start the next chapter of his career as he went up to light heavyweight on Friday. But instead, the night turned into a coming-out party for the next big thing at 205 pounds. Undefeated Dominick Reyes notched the biggest win on his belt to date at UFC on ESPN 6, as he made short work of Weidman. Reyes (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) needed just 1:43 to finish Weidman (14-5 MMA, 10-5 UFC) via TKO in the main event at TD Garden in Boston. Weidman used his wrestling base to score a takedown in the fight’s early moments, but Reyes patiently worked back to his feet. And when they broke, it didn’t take long.
