SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Julianna Pena re-emerged after 29 months at UFC on ESPN+ 13 on Saturday and picked up one of the biggest victories of her career against former UFC champion Nicco Montano. In what was the 21st matchup in UFC history between season winners of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series, Pena (9-3 MMA, 5-1) outworked Montano (4-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in a grappling-heavy fight to win a unanimous decision by scores of 29-28, 29-28, and 29-27. The bantamweight bout was part of the UFC on ESPN+ 13 preliminary card at Golden1 Center in Sacramento, Calif.
