The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency today announced a two-year suspension issued to Brazilian heavyweight Carlos Felipe , who was flagged for a potential doping violation before his octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 119. According to USADA, Felipe (8-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) tested positive for metabolites of stanozolol, 16β‐hydroxy‐stanozolol and 3’‐hydroxy‐stanozolol, following an out-of-competition test conducted July 29. Stanozolol, a steroid, is banned at all times in the category of non-specified substances and carries a two-year suspension for first-time offenders. Felipe’s suspension is retroactive to Sept. 19, the day his provisional suspension was imposed , and he was removed from a bout against Christian Colombo (8-2-1 MMA, 0-1-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 119 next week at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil
