UFC heavyweight Stipe Miocic is pretty forgiving about the injury situation that’s put Fabio Maldonado in front of him instead of former champion Junior dos Santos . “I did want the Dos Santos fight more than anything, but I’m just happy that Maldonado took the fight,” Miocic (11-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) today told MMAjunkie. “I still get to use all that hard training, and I’ll be ready for him.” The UFC had to scramble when Dos Santos (16-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) broke his hand and was forced to withdraw from the TUF Brazil 3 Finale, which airs May 31 on FOX Sports 1 from Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo
