For the meantime, that’s the mindset UFC light heavyweight Ryan Bader is adopting in advance of his next fight, which might have been a crack at champ Daniel Cormier had a grave tactical mistake not cost him a brain-rattling loss in a previous bout against current contender Anthony Johnson. “I’m not even worried about it,” Bader told MMAjunkie about an ever-elusive No. 1 contender spot. “For a while there, I was, and it was a constant thing hanging over my head.” When Bader banked everything on a takedown and kimura attempt against Johnson eight months ago at UFC on FOX 18, it took but a few punches to erase the momentum he built from a five-fight winning streak that arguably had been his best to date in the UFC.
