Being a fan favorite means there are a lot of fighters who’d like to get their hands on him, so he gets called out a lot. Most recently, Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis (15-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) targeted Nelson (21-12 MMA, 8-8 UFC), leading the promotion to book a co-headliner at UFC Fight Night 90, which takes place July 7 at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. But Nelson isn’t bothered by his popularity – on the contrary, he wishes there were more opponents to fight.
