Thompson (12-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) was utterly dominant in his fight against former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks (17-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC), stopping him in the first round with a TKO. Thompson never let Hendricks get started, it seemed, and was on point with his striking from the opening bell. The win gave “Wonderboy” six straight victories and put him front and center in the welterweight title picture
