Dominique Steele and “Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim SEOUL – Late-notice replacement ”Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim was game, but Dominique Steele was superior and got the win in dominant fashion. Steele (14-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC) picked up his first UFC win with an impressive performance against Korean newcomer Kim (13-7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who was knocked out in the third round with a violent slam. The welterweight bout opened the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 79 event at Olympic Gymnastics Arena in Seoul. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass. After a feeling-out process, Steele connected with a left hook that dropped Kim, though he quickly recovered. However, Steele got the better of some dirty boxing and landed some heavy blows before dragging the fight to the canvas, which became a theme in the fight.
