In the FOX Sports 1 headliner, Neil Magny (17-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) took home a split-decision victory over a visibly shocked Kelvin Gastelum (11-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) by scores of 47-48, 48-47, and 48-47. Magny is quickly making his way up the compensation ladder and pocketed $10,000 for his appearance, while Gastelum took home $5,000. “The Ultimate Fighter 1” winner Diego Sanchez (25-8 MMA, 14-8 UFC) took home an event high $20,000 for his decision loss to Ricardo Lamas (16-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) in the night’s co-feature. Longtime UFC and WEC veteran Scott Jorgensen (15-12 MMA, 4-8 UFC) also took home $20,000 in a losing effort, as an ankle injury forced an early end to his preliminary bout with Alejandro Perez (16-6 MMA, 2-1 UFC).
