SAO PAULO – After denying Gilbert Burns the chance to grapple, Rashid Magomedov took a comfortable lead and held on to it like a man closely watching his offensive budget. There was no doubt Burns (10-1 MMA 3-1 UFC) was outclassed in a striking encounter. Magomedov’s (20-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) hesitance to turn up the tempo didn’t turn many heads, but it won over the judges. The lightweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 77 event at Ibirapuera Gymnasium in Sao Paulo
