Former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida lost his UFC Fight Night 70 headlining bout to Yoel Romero on Saturday night, but he still came out on top of the disclosed fighter payroll. Romero patiently worked out Machida’s timing on Saturday night, eventually taking him down in the third round, where he finished the fight with several heavy elbows. The victory was the biggest of Romero’s blossoming career, and netted him $66,000 on the official payroll filed with the Florida State Boxing Commission
