Poirier (18-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC)dismantled Yancy Medeiros (11-3 MMA, 2-3 UFC) in the first round of their meeting, twice knocking the fighter to the ground before forcing referee intervention. The lightweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 68 event at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
