Filed under: News , UFC Wendell Oliveira To say Wendell Oliveira ’s UFC debut didn’t go quite as he hoped is probably an understatement. Anytime a fighter is knocked out in the first round, let alone in just 80 seconds, something typically has gone awry. Given Oliveira had only a month to prepare for the fight, which came this past September in his native Brazil at UFC Fight Night 51 against Santiago Ponzinibbio, maybe he gets a slight pass, though. For his second trip to the octagon, he thinks things will be different. “My debut was nothing like I had hoped,” Oliveira told MMAjunkie.
