HALIFAX – UFC newcomer  Paul Felder outmuscled  Jason Saggo in grappling exchanges to extend his unbeaten streak in a split-decision victory. Save for a dicey moment toward the end of the fight, Felder (9-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) consistently did damage on the feet and on the mat to earn the win over Saggo (10-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) on two of three judges’ scorecards. The lightweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 54 event at Halifax Metro Centre in Nova Scotia, Canada. It aired on FOX Sports 2 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on FOX Sports 1. The final scorecards were 29-28 twice for Felder and 29-28 for Canadian Saggo, who suffered his first UFC defeat after a debut win over Josh Shockley in June at UFC 174. A former kickboxer, Felder is now unbeaten in nine pro bouts.
