UFC middleweight Chris Camozzi  was five minutes into his most recent fight when he suddenly decided to shift direction in his strategy. Instead of defending the takedowns of Bruno Santos, he started going for flying knees. “I wanted to go for the finish,” he told MMAjunkie. Such a thought isn’t uncommon, and the UFC encourages that fighters should pursue a finish. For Camozzi, though, it wasn’t that he was overcome with the urge to be impressive, but that he let it short-circuit the responses he had trained more than eight weeks
