TULSA – Chas Skelly struck quickly and eventually forced a tap-out from Tom Niinimaki for yet another submission win on his resume. Skelly (12-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) closed the distance early, took the fight to the mat, and then eventually locked on a fight-ending rear-naked choke on Niinimaki (21-7-1 MMA, 1-2 UFC) in the first round. The featherweight bout opened the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 49 at BOK Center in Tulsa. It aired on FOX Sports 1 after prelims on FOX Sports 2 and UFC Fight Pass.
