BANGOR, Maine – It didn’t look good for Tim Boetsch in the early going. Then again, it often doesn’t, but that’s not always a deal-breaker for “The Barbarian.” After being roughed up and split open by Brad Tavares for the first half of the fight, Boetsch came back in a big way, dropping Tavares with a left hook and finishing him off with a left at 3:18 of round two. The middleweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 47 at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 2. Tavares got off to a good start in the first, defending the takedown well and muscling Boetsch around the cage with ease, peppering him with knees to the head and body as he gradually turned up the pressure
