ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Erik Perez (14-6 MMA, 4-2 UFC) might have been the crowd favorite in Albuquerque, where he lives and trains, but that didn’t count for much once Bryan Caraway (19-6 MMA, 4-1 UFC) latched himself to his back and wrapped his forearm across “Goyito’s” throat, forcing the submission at the 1:52 mark of Round 2. The bantamweight bout opened the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 42 event at Tingley Coliseum in New Mexico. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
