John Dodson won his UFC Fight Night 42 main card fight, scoring a technical knockout over John Moraga in the second round in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on Saturday night. Dodson unleashed a series of strikes towards the end of the second frame, and between rounds Moraga was deemed unable to compete by the ringside physician to bring the official stoppage at 5:00 of the round. “I wanted to put him to sleep for you guys,” Dodson said. Dodson came in with his typical high-energy quickness, sticking and circling throughout the opening round. After an inadvertent strike by Moraga to the groin, action continued and Dodson kept finding opportunities to land strikes and move out of danger.
