BERLIN – Magnus Cedenblad (12-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) said he wanted to knock out Krzysztof Jotko (14-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC), but he was content earning a submission victory over the previously unbeaten fighter. The middleweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 41 event at O2 World Berlin in Germany. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass. Aside from an opening flurry of punches from Jotko, the first round was all Cedenblad. The Swedish fighter got the clinch, scored a trip-takedown and spent most of the round in top position delivering a steady stream of ground and pound on his Polish foe. Even when Jotko got back to his feet, Cedenblad quickly took him back down and closed out the round in dominant position.
