JARAGUA DO SUL, Brazil – By the time the third round was finished, Joe Proctor ’s right hand and Cristiano Marcello ’s head had gotten to know each other intimately, though not in any fashion you’d call friendly. It wasn’t a pleasant association for Marcello, who seemed lucky to make it to the final horn, but for Proctor it was good enough to earn him a unanimous-decision victory (29-28, 30-27, 29-28) over his friend and former training partner.
