SINGAPORE – It took a little controversy, and the score would have been a strange one had it gone the distance, but  Kyung Ho Kang was utterly dominant to get his first UFC victory. The bigger Kang controlled  Shunichi Shimizu from the start, and finally was able to get a submission late in the fight after beating Shimizu down on the ground. An arm-triangle choke did the trick for Kang with 67 seconds left in the fight.
