LAS VEGAS – UFC Fight Night 253 is down another fight. The preliminary card matchup between John Castaneda and Douglas Silva de Andrade is off, the promotion announced Friday. The bout initially was scheduled for bantamweight, then shifted to a 140-pound catchweight. Both fighters hit their marks during Friday’s weigh-in window, but did not participate in ceremonial faceoffs. Promotion officials told MMA Junkie on Friday the reason for the cancellation was Silva de Andrade (29-6 MMA, 7-6 UFC ) not receiving medical clearance for the fight vs. Castaneda (21-7 MMA, 4-3 UFC )
