LAS VEGAS – William Knight knows he can’t afford any more slow starts. Knight (8-1) earned a contract Tuesday at Dana White’s Contender Series 31 when he rallied to take out Cody Brundage in Round 1. He found himself in trouble early when he was mounted by Brundage, but managed to reverse position and landed brutal elbows while Brundage was working for a takedown. Brundage went limp and Knight was able to get the quick finish . Knight acknowledged he was in a bad position to start the fight and that it’s something that he has to work on, especially since he’s in the big leagues now
