You better be on top of your game if you plan to call out UFC strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk . Prior to her recent bout at UFC Fight Night 74, Maryna Moroz scored a major upset after defeating Joanne Calderwood in her promotional debut. The 23-year-old Ukrainian then called for a title fight with Jedrzejczyk . She didn’t get the bout, and instead, Moroz (6-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) was knocked down and ultimately suffered a lopsided decision loss to Valerie Letourneau (8-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC) on Sunday at UFC Fight Night 74 in Canada. As Jedrzejczyk mentioned in the above Instagram post, would-be challengers better be able to “walk the walk.” (She also included video of that right hand that knocked down Moroz.) While Moroz is now forced back to the drawing board, the champ appears to have her next challenger.
